Former media lawyer and University of Florida media law Professor Sandra Chance will guide you through the challenges of understanding copyright law, and why every public relations practitioner needs to know the basics of copyright law.

This session will help you protect yourself and your clients from a copyright lawsuit. You’ll hear about current copyright lawsuits, what happens when you use someone’s original material without permission and what “fair use” means. You’ll also learn about how to legally protect your own creative works from copyright infringement.
